chuck.On September 9, I looked at the transcription app and couldn't tell which of its menus I should click first. The features had names and the branding was in place, but some things I could click did nothing.
Transcription was the part I used most. I asked Codex to make it the opening page. Translation and text processing needed clear entrances too, with icons, headings and descriptions that agreed about what each one did.
If I had to pause and guess in an app I was helping make, someone opening it for the first time would have a harder time. Now I try a simple check: without reading instructions, can I put in a recording and find the next step?
Sometimes removing a landing page helps me more than adding more places to click.
